During my spare time I enjoy volunteering, journaling, wine tasting, shopping for vintage items and spending time with my family. My true passion in life has always been to make a difference and to help those who are in need. Before starting with BlueLabs I was the Senior Health Information Specialist for and the National Breastfeeding Helpline, both services of the Office on Women’s Health, Department of Health and Human Services. My career field has always been in healthcare with specialized experience on women's and girls health. I currently hold my BA in Human Services, and I am pursuing my Masters in Public Health through Southern New Hampshire University. I am the Program Coordinator and I support the Hc.gov program in all areas of administrative task coordination and execution. I officially started with BlueLabs Analytics on March 1, 2021. My name is Bernadette Crews-Bates (she/her/hers) but everyone calls me Bernie. Outside of work, you can find him riding his bike, exploring new restaurants around DC, or chasing after his very cute and very energetic rescue dog, Molly. Prior to graduate school, Andy spent five years forecasting sales and leading teams in the retail industry. During his time in graduate school, he held fellowships at the US Census Bureau and the Massive Data Institute, where he worked on a variety of machine learning and natural language processing projects. Some examples of his recent research include projecting how Medicaid enrollment will evolve after the COVID-19 public health emergency ends developing machine learning models to predict churn in Medicaid and Marketplace eligibility and estimating the coverage and cost effects of enhanced Marketplace premium subsidies.Īndy has a master's degree in Data Science for Public Policy from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the team, he was a quantitative health policy researcher at the Urban Institute.
